Happy wednesday all....
Back for another desk feast all thanks to the lovely julia over at. http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/whats-on-your-workdesk-wednesday-285.html?m=1
This week I thought I would share another work space with you as my real desk is a bit boring...... Warning there is a lot of mess.
This is taken at the end of my Sew Christmas workshop on Saturday .... They were a lovely group of ladies and they made some great decoration ......like this little chap. It was a great fun day.
Oh .....ok so it doesn't count if I don't show my desk so here it is
Maybe less boring than I thought here I am sorting out stamps for a training session at work ..... To make mixed media canvases with colleagues who aren't particularly crafty.....should be an interesting 50 minutes ( yes only 50 minutes) maybe I'll show and tell them next week
Eagle eyed regulars might notice the new glasses at the back. I finally gave up with the washi taped broken ones ... I still haven't finished decorating the box I keep them in yet though.
Anyway ..... Happy snooping .....I might just pop by your way this evening ..... If you leave your Mr linky number that is.
Janet
50 min is like a nanosecond in the creative world. Good luck. I taught 8 ladies mixed media canvasses last week and they loved it. So good for the soul. #7
ReplyDelete50 minutes for non crafty people? oh my, that's a challenge.... good luck! Great desk though... both of them! Helen 4
ReplyDeleteomg! you really are an over achiever or a positive thinker!!! 50 minutes is such a short time with non crafty people but then again most of then don't over think it as we do! thats why i enjoyed teaching kids classes…i gave them paint and canvas and let them go…looking forward to seeing what comes out of it. Have a great week. Vickie #17
ReplyDeleteWow! Less than an hour to make a canvas. Good luck with that! Cute gingerbread man.

Hi Janet, a 50 minute canvas? No stress then, lol. Love Mr Gingerbread Man, is he going to be a regular in future? We could all play 'where's Ginger' rofl. Joining everyone else and looking forward to the show and tell, just to add to your stress levels. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #2 xxx
ReplyDeleteHow adorable is that gingerbread mom! What a fun looking workshop. Happy Wednesday! Sandy Leigh #53

ReplyDelete50 mins? You're going to have to get a shift on then :-). I love the pic of the sewing day, it's gloriously messy. Glad the girls enjoyed themselves!

I'm sitting down for while for the first time today having just got home from my day with the twinnie munchkins.....so what better to do than catch up with as many blogs as I can? :-)

ReplyDeleteHave a great crafty week, Angela x 28
Fifty minutes - gha! You'd better prep the canvasses by doing the first 23 layers you altered mixed types go in for! Good luck..I know your colleagues will enjoy it. The sewing day was obviously a hit - well done. You are VERY patient!
ReplyDeleteI am rolling on the floor that you used your washi tape to hold your old glasses together... :) ( I still find it hard to use washi tape so, its an idea lol) :) ~Stacy #63
ReplyDeleteHi Janet, I love those little matching storage containers you have on the shelf over your desk. What is it about matching things that drive us all so crazy happy? LOL! What a great idea to use Washi tape to hold one's glasses together... now if I could just find that favorite pair that broke! :D
ReplyDeleteLook forward to seeing more of your creativity.

Not so messy indeed. I do understand about the 'other' creative spaces LOL. A class, I do love a good mixed media tutorial.
ReplyDeleteKeep smiling and creating.
Your desk isn't messy at all, that's busy, lots of action there. Hope your mixed media class goes well.
ReplyDeleteChris #25
Oh I had to laugh! I've just had to get new glasses after having a pair washi taped (and glossy accented) together :P My son snapped mine clean in half!
ReplyDeleteYour ginger bread man is just adorable - good luck with that workshop! Definitely show us next week!

I bet the ladies had a great time! Mr. Gingerbread man looks good enough to eat!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm slowly making my way to visit desks. I knew it wouldn't be until the weekend that I was able to really get to.
Happy belated WOYWW

I love your little ginger bread man! He's so cute!
ReplyDeleteMmm, a tutorial in 50 min to teach mixed media to uncrafty people? Now there's a challenge! The advantage of mixed media is that there is no right or wrong way to your art, but I wish you success. Tell us all how it went please.
Sorry I'm late, but I like to take my time and look at everybody's blog. I read it all and look at the links etc.
Thank you for letting me look over your shoulder.
Have a good week,
