WOYWW 146

hi wednesday desk hoppers and other nosey people
Gosh the time goes quickly when you're having fun. And fun I have been having in Altered Book land! My side desk is now officially AB desk. In other words . . .  messy!
I have just  finished lesson 3, which is just as well as lesson 4 started yesterday. I will post the pictures tomorrow if you want to see them, or visit  altered book lover
Back to today and my normal desk. Julia says show us your desks, so here it is! http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk/

My normal desk is under wraps at the moment. I have just started D2 wedding invites, I think they are going to take a while.
On the left you can see 2 little geckos, she was having them on the invitations but changed her mind to  something more traditional.

That said, here are the cards I made for my Mums for Mother's Day.

I have to make them both the same 'coz they'll compare!

My Mum- in- Law was poorly in Hospital at the weekend (home and much better now ), she couldn't have flowers so I made her a plaque instead. . .  she wore it around her neck.
(Please note; The plaques are about 5" tall, so good to see she has her sense of humour back.)
I painted the MDF heart and made Tim Holtz tattered pincone roses.

Of course I made my Mum one too

Well I've shown you mine now I'll look at yours, as many as I can get to that is!
see ya !

  3. I'm so glad to see the sneak peek at your AB. It looks like it's coming along well.

At first I was having a terrible time leaving comments on blogs tonight. They didn't want to post. NOW I get "service unavailable when I try to leave a comment. It's really frustrating. Happy WOYWW from # 7.

  15. How funny that your MIL wore her plaque around her neck but then it is lovely. I was also making TH pinecone roses yesterday but yours are prettier than mine, you must have spent an age curling those petals they look so realistic .

  34. Beautiful Mother's day cards, we don't have that until May. Seems we all are having other desks this week and cleaning and organizing!! Just no time for me lately.."Life" too busy here. There's a story behind the SPAM can@!!! I had to save one. My son wanted Spam for Xmas one Year...he was kidding of course but he got 10 cans of spam ---and he won't eat it!!!! HA HA...I used it in Scalloped Potatoes, Bean Soup, anywhere where HAM would have been used and he never knew the difference.!! So I kept a can just for the memories. Happy WOYWW

  35. Beautiful cards that you have made for your mums! Made me giggle that you have to make them the same as they compare them! Don't want to hurt anyone's feelings for sure! And how cute that your mum in law wore her plaque around her neck! Obviously very proud of her daughter in law!

  40. I'm so late this week, blame my dentist, but determined to visit you. You're making me feel so ashamed because I am way behind on the AB project ... yours seems to be progressing nicely and good idea to keep a dedicated area for it alone. Your cards and plaques are gorgeous and I loved the story about your MIL wearing hers :)) Wishing you a wonderful weekend. Elizabeth x #73
