WOYWW 292 A sticky post and 14 pots of joy.

Hi Peeps
I hope you all had a fab festive season and are now back to normal desk duties..... I know I am. hopefully Julia at the      stamping-ground.     will be too after all ...........its her party.
Want to see my desk taken last night.... its looking a bit sticky.

I want to tell you a story .... I will be brief......
A while ago the lovely Shaz   silverwolfcards   posted about Aleene's Tack It over and over  for unmounted rubber stamps. I have quite a few that needed mounting ... but I never seem to get around to it. ... could this be the answer I thought...... OMG this stuff is fantastic... and very sticky.
After painting a couple of the stamps Christmas took over and I forgot about it ..... until Tuesday evening.
I had a little mishap and dropped a large pot of Decopatch glue onto the fairy grotto carpet.... Agh .....I was not a popular fairy especially as handyman ended up Vaxing it at 9.30 pm.... he would much rather have been asleep in his chair lol    ....... he was.... as always very handy to have around.
Anyway this sticky mess reminded me of the job I had intended to do ...... so I'm doing it.... well done me.  ha ha
Many of you will know I played along with the Documented Life Planner Project last year .... and intend to this year too. Although I don't like all the changes I'm going to see how it goes, I'm using a 2 page A4 spread this year...... different for me.
This is my first page and the prompt is  ..... Be your own goal keeper..... my goals.... guess

Finish my UFO's ( unfinished objects ) of course....
Oh yes ..... the 14 pots of joy...... these ( Helen you may have seen them already)

Cheeky Santa snuck in a couple of extra pots ... Thanks

Watch this space.......
Phew !sorry for the long post I'm off now but I'll be back after work, please your number if you are kind enough to leave a comment ..... they mean a lot.

  5. I have something called Wacky Tac, which sounds similar to what Shaz has. I can attest to it being great for the UMs, especially since I don't want to buy that ugly grey rubbery stuff many use.

I asked my LSS owner if she had heard of Brushos and she had not. I told her I learned about them from my British friends, but they don't seem to be that well known in the States. She's going to look into them.

Sorry I've been away so long, but life and a bit of illness got in the way. Hope your New Year was wonderful and safe. Happy WOYWW from #2.

  6. It's another day of juggling for me today....I have Lexi one side of me building with the Knex and Sam is the other side doing jigsaws so I'm popping round some of my favourite blogs while they play happily 😃
I love to see all these clever medias you girls use but have no idea what I would do with it all lol

  7. Love the page - that UFO cracks me up! And I love Tack it too. It does keep things sticky and ready for stamping for a long time. It makes me laugh you think this is a "long post" - I can never manage to be this brief. DOH! That should be MY goal.

    Happy First WOYWW of 2015!

  8. Great page and I think we all have a few UFO's hidden away. Please do a post on Brusho's .... haven't heard of them in OZ.

  9. When I saw the UFO on your spread I was like 'what?' - unfinished objects! brilliant! I'm doing DLP this year too - my first timer, so I'm not sure what the changes were, but I pretty much worked it out that if I want to follow along, I don't need to long into their "university" (confusing or what!) and I can just follow through their blog and post on Facebook! Perhaps I'll see you there! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa @ InkyDinkyDoodle #27

  10. Love your UFO!! That made me laugh a lot :-) I might have to make a list then.....shock, horror! But don't tell Julia, she'll never let me forget it...grin!
You had some fab prezzies, didn't you? What's in the little pots then?
    Hugs, LLJ 18 xx

  11. Oh the tack it is wonderous stuff to be sure. It's good for all kinds of things! So much to look at and the Documented Life Planner sounds interesting. Off to google and find out what that's about!

  12. Aah, the UFO's - I think achieving that resolution would be my life's work. I'm much better at moving them around than the room finishing them. Good luck with the journalling!! (perhaps I should finish that journal I started...) Happy WOYWW Cindy #44

  15. What a mess it must have been. Glad you had somebody to help you clean it. Love the first page of your journal, maybe I should get a little dent in those UFO's too.
    Happy WOYWW!

  16. well, call me change resistant or a purist, but aren't you going to miss the bit f foam that usually sits between the rubber and the mount on the real rubber stamps? Will be fascinated to her your opinion when you get stamping! 14 for a box of 12 - colour heaven - you must have been good. How did you convince Santa!!

  17. Wondering how you store your "sticky" stamps??? I unmounted all my wood mount stamps, and attached them to cling years ago. Saves tons of space and weight!! HUGE fan of photopolymer stamps now!

    Happy Crafting!

  18. I don´t mount stamps any more. For me it is easier to use them unmounted. That sticky mess sounds awful, hope you could clean it out somehow.
I am also attending the DLP journal project and I think it is a lot of fun so far.
    Cheers

  19. So much stickiness in one post! I tried Aileen's tack it over and over but it is too sticky for me. A lot of it stays behind on the acrylic block when I peel the stamp off. I like the Club Scrap glue for repositionable stamps. It is very similar with less stickiness. Definitely one or the other is the way to go for UM stamps so then you can use them! I think finishing UFOs is a great goal. I think it would take me more than a year to meet it if I had that one for myself. Good luck with it! Judy #70

  20. Ohh good job you had a handy man around. Thankfully, I have a wooden floor which is lovely and easy to clean when I make a mess which is often, lol.
I've had my Brushos out for the first time this week, absolutely love them and have only scratched the surface of experimenting with them. Have fun.

  21. Sticky, sticky, sticky! A miracle that it all came out thanks to Handyman.
Oh your DLP journal page is beautiful! One of my goals is 'to get messy' and have a go at mixed media. So many friends recomended DLP and I have joined but haven't got a clue about paint and stuff really, and not being used to this 'freedom', I'm a bit overwhelmed. But I've started and have got as far as sticking bookpaper on the page and covering it with gesso. Tomorrow I'm going to mix a bit of paint to get some pretty colours and see where that leads me....
    Have a great week,

  22. I've been a little clumsy over the last week or so Jan so I dread to think what a mess I might have made in your grotto!
It sounds like you've lots of fun ahead... enjoy!
Have a great week and enjoy WOYWW

  23. I love the idea of mixed media and have made a few pieces but I keep rotating back to card making and the composed project. Sorry you made a mess. I have a chair mat in front of my desk so if I spill it is ok!

  24. I love your resolution and I am so interested in this brusho stuff. Tack it over and over is wonderful and I am like you I move onto other things and forget the first one I was meant to do. Ah we all return to them eventually. Have crafting fun. sorry you made a mess. have a great week.

  25. Oh Shaz has some great stamping tips doesn't she?
I have just been reading about the 2015 project but think I already have enough to do (though I may change my mind by the end of the week!).
I look forward to seeing what you do with your Brusho's as I too have a couple of pots I have been meaning to play with for a few months now!

Thanks for visiting my blog already

  26. Hi Janet, Happy WOYWW, or your fairy rug as the case may be! You could have just sprinkled it with glitter lol.
Love the journal page, I want to get journalling, the book I bought to do it last year is spiral bound and soon became problematical when paint got on the spiral and the pages don't turn easily and I have to say I didn't get into The Craft Barn challenge with my husband getting skin cancer, it has been a tramatic year really, and 2015 started off nearly as bad. Love your UFO. I have Brushos, only 12, I did try sprinkling one or two to try but not used them properly yet.
I hope your Darlene's stuff works well, I have something similar I painted on some of my stamps and I find they have lost some of their cling and keep leaping off their storage sheets so when I really get fed up I buy more EZ.

  27. Evying your pots, I looked at the sets, but couldn't decide which one to take, and ended up not taking anything ... But I will no doubt think that over every time I order stuff from places that sell those:) Looking forward to seeing what you do with them!

  28. Ooh your stamp sorting sounds good. I need to do something with mine, most of mine are in folders. Not mounted. Ah well a job to do later. Your pages look fabulous! Hope you are ok, Happy New Year my friend. Take care Zo xx 45

  29. Hi Janet,

Your UFO cover made me smile! I do love Aleene's glue; did you know they have several different kinds for different uses? Yep. So, do you permanently mount your stamps then? I like the unmounted stamps since I don't have much room.

I will definitely put your name in the hat for a calendar. Thank you for visiting me already!

    Happy belated WOYWW
