woyww 296 Snow ... what snow

Hi Peeps..
Well this morning was exciting ( I know..... in southern UK  we are easily pleased)
we had snow ..... not much but enough for Erin to throw a few snowballs at Grandma (me).
Ok I have just realised ... that was Tuesday ...... I am writing this Tuesday eve (working all day Wednesday) but I will be  doing the rounds as usual in the evening via the stamping ground and head desk hopper Julia I hope you are keeping snug and warm. Me I feel like hibernating

Not much activity on my desk this week ...even if there are 3 pairs of scissors.... you can see my journal pages for this week..... using underpaper and the prompt is 'what lies beneath'
it would take too long to explain my prompt page .... so I wont! intrigued.... don't be its not that interesting.
The  sewing machine has seen some action ..... I finished the dress I stared for  Erin a couple of weeks. but she didn't want to model it. I also made a beads of courage bag with the spare fabric.... these bags are for child cancer patients to put their special treatment beads in.

For those of you who visited last week .... here are my fairy lights..... they aren't just for Christmas you know....... and are cheap on electricity too.

Anyway that's all from me for this week so please leave a comment so I can visit you back,
janet aka fairythoughts

  2. I love the fairy lights and those journal pages look fantastic. Snow, we are into summer here but it feels like autumn and I just want some heat, we need summer. Snow is nice to visit but to have it in your everyday life I just can't imagine that. Happy WOYWW

  7. I would be very excited to see a little snow and share it with your special little helper. The bead bags look great and what a wonderful cause. No.. I didn't make my journal for DLP but keep hearing about it on other blogs. Will have to check out what it is all about. Did you bind your journal.... I get into such a muddle with the binding, but pleased with the end results.

  8. We have plenty of snow and very cold temps here at the moment and I'll happily share them with you! In fact, you can have it ALL!!! The sun is trying to shine for us, so I'll keep checking on it. So dreary in Germany during the winter months!! Great job on the dress and your journal pages. Have a great week and God bless!

    Happy Crafting!

  9. Ha,ha I had a laugh at your excitement for the bit of snow you had! Here in Kent we had a few flurries but they didn't stay on the ground long enough to make a snow ball. At home in Slovenia they have about 20 inches though, so I am lucky to have escaped that!
    Love the little bead bag!
    Lots of hugs,

  10. I'm in Kent - the car did not like the little bit we had yesterday. it got me to the school to drop my daughter off and then died. Cue panic! It must have just been the damp or cold though as a bit of revving (and threats) it started and got me to my own class, I did get worried when I spotted more snow coming down while I was in there! Nothing here now though. Just sun. And cold.

Loving your desk - especially those little drawing peeking out from under your book :)

  13. Glad you are enjoying the snow. We had a little bit last week and it's been so cold that it's still hanging around in corners.

  17. Love the little dress. Sewing for me is only for emergencies...that is what you will find on my desk right now. Repairs! Yuck. But they must get done. Then I can reward myself with some crafty stuff. Yum. #56

  18. LOL, I like your sense of humour! I'm sure I would find the explanation behind your journal page interesting! We've got fairy lights all over the house as well. It helps overcome the darkness for the whole winter not just at Christmas time. We usually take them down around spring and put them back up in November. Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa @ InkyDinkyDoodle# 34
