WOYWW 151 oh dear, whats happened to blogger

hi world
and what a horrid wet day it is here in the uk. Those of you from sunny climates 'lucky you'
 hopefully,
Don't you just hate it when blogger changes itself, why does it have to do that, I only just got used to using the old format.
Oh well here  goes.
My desk this week looks the same as last  week..... neglected  and forlorn with nothing to show really.
Even the AB desk is the same I haven't done anything to my book this week no, nothing, ziltch, nada or to put it another way 'bugger all' (language Janet!!!!).
So I thought I would show a different angle to the usual one.
In the forground is my AB book, underneath the large pot of Gesso.
Way in the distance you might just be able to see my button box left out.

I was looking for buttons for the dress I have just made for my GD Erin. I have quite a lot of buttons and luckily found just what I was looking for.
Behind the buttons are some MDF hearts my 'handyman' cut out ready for me to paint. . .  sometime.
The rest of the 'stuff' is just dumped here for use later. Probably much later to be honest.
I haven't been completely idle though, I did manage to finish the dress
Oh dear I got this far and then accidentally hit a button and everything disappeared, took me ages to find it again, i thought Ihad lost it all. Aggggggg!
Anyway here is the dress, it is ages since I did any sewing , but I am quite pleased with it.

There are much more interesting desks out there and lots of fun to see under the leadership of head desk keeper Julia so pop over to  stamping-ground   to have a good nosey, you might need a few days to get to everyone.
Thanks for all the lovely comments last week, especially as I was very late posting, sorry if I didn't get to visit everyone. If you leave a comment please leave your Mr linky no. so I can find you quickly.
Thanks
janet

  9. What a sweet little dress. At least you have a space where you can just leave your stuff out, I have to put mine all away as I craft on the dining room table and store my stuff in the front room!
    Take care

  10. Pretty dress Janet, how sweet the fabric is. Your desk doesn't look uninteresting at all, even your button box is an attraction! Hope you don't get withdrawal symptoms...still, sewing is as god as paper craft, so you should be Ok for a couple of days yet!

  21. I wish blogger, FB, all these social media sites would at least give us a chance to choose whether or not we want to change....after all it is our account, but then you get what paid for as my dad always use to say, and our accounts are free! lol waving hi from the hills of North Carolina #139

  23. Hi Janet, your desk is indeed interesting and I had a great time snooping around. The dress is terrific - it's many years since I did any dressmaking so I'm really impressed at your skills. I was happily typing away at my post and without warning it simply disappeared completely - no idea what, if anything, I did wrong :( So you're not alone in trying to get to grips with the changes ... probably not much of a consolation though. Hope you have a lovely creative week. Elizabeth x #113

  25. I've heard so many bemoan the changes on Blogger that I'm thinking I must not have them all yet. The formatting a new post thing changed but it is so much like my version of Office so that was easy. I'm thinking the worst is yet to come. Anyway, I love the different view of your desk today. I'm sorry things aren't getting done and probably won't for awhile. I know how that goes and you just never know. The dress is very sweet. When I was a little girl I would have loved it. I loved that type of print and ric rac. I would have wanted it longer though. For some reason I was into long dresses. With shorts underneath because I loved to climb trees and thought that "I see London, I see France, I can see your underpants" stuff was nonsense. Wow! I just realized that I've hated cliched nonsense even as a small child!

  26. Every time someone mentions their AB I realize how much I haven't done on mine! Oh well, art is a journey, not a destination, right? I love your messy desk. So much fun to be had...when we have the time! Thanks for letting me snoop!
And thanks for visiting my desk!

  31. I love your creative space, Janet, a real hive of industry with lots of intriguing shelves and boxes. As the others have said, you've got a lot going on. That little dress is adorable! It's really nice to see that people are still sewing. These days it's often hard to get hold of fabrics and haberdashery because so few people do it. I used to do a lot at one time...

Thanks for your nice comment on my blog about my knitting. Do you think I should wear it inside out when I've finished it lol!!!

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  35. Oh, I do love that box of buttons!!! Yum. Your dress is just beautiful. I like the white ric rac that you added to it. Very sweet. I have a sewing machine but have NEVER used it. Luckily it wasn't expensive so I don't feel guilty - yet!

Thanks for visiting me already. I'll be hopping around through the weekend, I'm afraid.
