Friday smile..... let there be light

Here is a mildly amusing story which made me smile
for more smiley post pop over to Annie's blog... careful some posts may affect your sense of humour :)

Last week while sewing in my lounge /diner in the evening I was moaning to my handyman (DH) about the poor light. Maybe I should get a daylight bulb says I.
The next day I brought one home.
I gave the bulb to the handyman who then went up stairs, wondering where he was going I followed him. When I asked him what he was doing he replied saying he was going to put my new bulb in the light to try it. But I thought it was going down stairs says I ......Oh he says I thought you wanted it in your craft room..... does the man never listen properly?  Thank goodness he didn't.
 Oh my what a difference.
Here is the before taken on tuesday about 3.pm

And the after taken at MIDNIGHT last night

The funny thing is I SELL THESE AT WORK...... WHY DID I NEVER THINK OF IT BEFORE?
I am off to buy stash at the Make -It show at Farnborough yey!

  1. Hi Janet, I do find that our darling better halves tend not to listen to us and indeed drown out our voices but where would be without them.
That bulb really does make a difference eh. Now you'll be up all night crafting.

    Have a good week

  5. Wow I cant believe the difference ...I didn't realize you could use them in a main light ...thought they were just for desk lamps ...I so need one in my craft/bedroom.
btw ...men rarely listen ....must be something to so with the 'Y' chromasome lol.

  6. Brilliant story and brilliant light - I like, I like a lot :) I already have a desk lamp but I think I am going to have get one of these bulbs for the ceiling light too. BTW, my handyman would have done exactly the same ... not listen and assume it was meant for the craft room :)) Elizabeth xx

  8. Doh!! Oh Janet!! Fancy admitting this online! I have one in my light above my chair in the lounge - unfortunately I don't have a "normal" bulb in my craft room (hence the craft lite on my desk)! They are brilliant especially when cross stitching or working with dark colours!
