WOYWW 141 nothing here

Hi world
Well I have a very sad desk this week, in fact you could say it's  been abandoned.
I'm fed up with having a cold. I hate to moan  but I've got another one. I really dont feel like crafting ... yes that's what I said!
Here's my desk anyway. Pop over to the stamping-ground. where head desk hoppper julia is in charge of lots of inspiring desks.

Anyway nothing interesting on my desk, the only thing there is the book I brought to use on Elizabeth's altered book tutorial. altered book lover blog
I didnt want to spend too much on it as it seems a shame to alter an expensive old book. I found this one in a charity shop..
Look at the title of the book . . .at  only 60p it was 'just right'
You still have time to 'sign up' as the second lesson isn't until next week. It promises to be very interesting.

EDIT .... The first line in the book is "Now that it is all over, now that nothing can be altered or undone" . . . .  I think it might be altered slightly LOL
I did manage to finish one project at the weekend;
A Christmas page in Erin scrapbook

Cute Huh?
Have you all heard about Tim's 12 tags I'm sure  you have but if you haven't take a  lookie here;    12 tags of 2012
Anyway I'm off to work now so I will see you later.

  1. I feel so sorry for you with a cold. Touch wood I am cold free at the moment and that is unusual for me. Rest, hot drinks and more rest is all that you can do - not easy when you have to go to work though. Try it at the weekend and forget crafting (yep, I said it).
Don't forget to call in if you haven't already and check out my blog candy - it closes late tonight and I should be drawing tomorrow. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Neet 29

  2. A book with that title makes me wonder. Is it a novel? Is it a book about money issues? What is it? ;-) Hope you feel better soon.

  6. Think I may be joining you in the second cold in a month club but I'm determined not to give in to this one. Wish Sir Tim would develop an ink that zapped the germs at the same time as it inked your paper. Love the title of the book, have mine ready as well and the altered book club is one I don't mind being a member of.

  11. Sorry to hear the cold won't go away, this bad weather isn't helping either. I find it's best to go with the flow when I'm just not feeling it instead of trying to force myself to craft. Hope you're back to your desk soon though. Beautiful LO, really like the letters.

  14. So sorry to hear that you are ill again. I understand the need to buy a book for altering--it has to be the right one, inexpensive and one that no one will miss after being altered. Funny how we are about that. That first photo almost makes it look like your book is plugged in.

  15. That book is so perfect for your class. The title makes you chuckle and those first sentences..hahaha...that book is made to be altered!
Hope your cold feels better soon. I always find that I get draggy with a cold...we crafters can't afford the time to get draggy, can we!

  25. You definitely have my sympathies with the never ending bugs this year - why are they lingering so?! VERY cute page. Tim Holtz is doing his QVC thing on Tuesday so I am very excited and will probably be one of the saddos staying up till the early hours to make sure I get the TSV!
