  1. Nice giftie from Handyman. congrats on the anniversary and have fun in the sun - not sure about cutting up the recipe book, to be honest. I have an old 1930s one from my grandmother, when she purchased her fridge/freezer and it is a total HOOT to read. Might scan the images but not sure I could actually destroy it. I love old cook books..."boil on the stovetop for 2 hours" as a suggestion for cooking green beans??? OMG and LOL all at once.

    :)

    Happy WOYWW!

    1. I am with you, Mary Anne. I cannot bring myself to cut up books, but I do have a number of very tired paperbacks ready to be consigned to the rubbish bin so I could use those. xx Maggie #60

I don't know if I could tear up the book either but it'll probably make for a great journal!

    1. I have only just started to eat sprouts again after I discovered that if they were not boiled to a much, they actually taste quite good, especially roasted with chestnuts and a bit of garlic. xx Maggie #60

  12. Ohhh an A3 printer how lovely. Have fun with it.
I know what you mean about the weather and crafting, it's really hard when you have stuff you must do and the sun is shining...and now of course there is the tennis too, just too many distractions, lol.

  16. Hi Jan, congrats on the wedding anniversary. I have a wireless printer but A3 now that's extra special, fab!
If you get some off white paper and scan the old books you can soon make the pages look old then you still have the book to use again.
    Happy crafting, Angela x #43
