Hi Deskers
Happy Wednesday and welcome to anyone who hasn't visited me before and doesn't know what WOYWW is.. it's a happy band of bloggers who get together every Wednesday to show how and where they are being creative. The lovely Julia at the stamping-ground keeps us under control..... well sort of.....
Anyway .... to the desk....
Back to my usual desk this week .... not that there is much going on.
left to right .... basket of washi tapes.....painted circle background (still)....a fab new roll of Tim Holtz style ribbon..... a couple of craft stamper Magazines ... waiting to be read (still).... a box I am painting to put my desk glasses in....
While painting this box I did this.....
I broke the arm off my glasses.... (accidentally)........ and mended it with washi tape, it worked quite well because the tape is flexible so it still bends and goes in the box.... sorted.
The box is one of my UFO items, I showed a lot of these on my post on Monday for The Creative Blog Hop .... HERE if you are interested....
or the just the photo....... here if not.
I am going to try and finish as much as possible by the end of the year LOL
I Will be at work as usual during then day but will visit you later if you leave your number .... and you want me too. :-))
Have a great and see you next Wednesday
janet
Clever idea Janet fixing the glasses like that , Could this be a new tread you could be setting lol.
ReplyDeleteGood luck finishing all those ufo's by the end of the year . You'll have to let us know if you got them all done. Happy woyww Jill #11

ReplyDeleteNice projects going on there - I stopped buying Craft Stamper in the end as I never got around to reading it properly either - might treat myself to one this month though and see whats happening in the world of stamping! Sunshine Girl #17
ReplyDeleteHi I'm back and am really enjoying the adventure of setting up my new creative space in our new home. I've really missed catching up with all my blogging friends but hopefully over the next day or so I will pay you all a visit.
ReplyDeleteI really love seeing your latest makes. Well done you with the glasses repair...these crafty products have many uses don't they? :-) Thanks again for the lovely card you sent us.
Hugs,
Annie x #25
Blimey, Janet...have many projects have you got on the go? I thought I was bad at doing too many things at once but you are the Queen!

Great use for the washi tape, and it's pretty too, so it can decorate your glasses at the same time! You look tremendously busy with so much on the go, I'm quite exhausted reading about it all - hope you have a happy creative week,

Gosh you are brave getting out the UFO box, I am too scared to even see what's in mine and I keep creating more. LOL A really good tape for flexing around the arm of glasses is insulation tape that electricians use it can be stretched to contour. Also great for when you break a nail or to use as a band aid it is water resistant. LOL I do hope you achieve all you set out to do.

Happy WOYWW
I love Craft Stamper and have been taking it since it started, I find I need to read it as soon as it arrives though.
ReplyDeleteVery clever use of the Washi tape.
Have a great week and happy crafting Angela x 38
Lovely busy desk, Janet, and I love your innovative use of washi tape lol!! Much more decorative than the usual paper clip or safety pin! As for your UFOs, I thought I was bad enough... Very brave of you to reveal all like that! Not sure I'd have had the courage... Off to see your Creative Blog Hop post.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit and lovely comment - I'm so glad you like the card I made. They will have received it by now. As for the electric drill, what electric drill? The only thing I can think of is the dark green thing at the back of the desk - if that's what you meant, it's my Rolls Royce of a glue gun!! As it's made by Bosch, I suppose it is bound to look like an electric drill! Ha ha!!
Happy WOYWW,

What a clever way to mend your glasses hadn't thought of that!
ReplyDeleteLots going on! Hope you find time to read your craft stamper magazine

Yah, I too have two issues of craft stamper to catch up on...although for once, I have already used the most recent cover stamp! Your Monday post was great..that table of UFOs is really less UFO and more about your ability to know when to stop and think about your next move......
ReplyDeleteEwe ally looking forward to Friday! X
heheheh washi rocks! Good luck with your UFOs, I have loads of them too :o) Happy WOYWW Annie C #45
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for the specs! Found mine today, after missing for three days - in the middle of a flower bed, where I'd taken them from the top of my head, for safety (sigh!) Have a great week, Chris # 29
ReplyDeleteHi Janet - thanks for your comment - I will email you as requested. Sorry you were having problems emailing me - what stuff was getting downloaded? I've just tested the email link on my blog and it opens a Windows Live Mail window so not quite sure what the problem is. Anyway, I'll send you the recipe (if I can find it!!)

ReplyDeleteHi Janet,
ReplyDeleteAnother great use for washi tape!!! tee hee Your UFOs look very interesting. I have so many of those, especially in my knitting stash. I started knitting a chicken and never sewed the pieces together so who knows if I have an entire chicken! tee
Not playing along this week but wanted to visit a few people.
Happy belated WOYWW
Peace,
Kay
