WOYWW 140 not much here

Hi world
happy WOYWW to everyone, especially everyone I didn't get to visit last week.
There were lots of us, but  I think I managed to visit more desks than I have done in the past.
You have to be careful it doesn't creep into actual crafting time !!!....... then there would be nothing to show would there?
Hop over to see 'what's up'  at the stamping-ground.

Not much going on on my desk this week. This is the first week I had been looking after my
granddaughter all day (you forget how tiring it is don't you, Zzzzzz!)
Erin very kindly had an afternoon nap for about 1 1/2 hours so you know where I went don't you ?

Anyway .... the desk is left mid ATC-ing for Gungy Monday over at. studiol3.
This is a weekly challenge with all things Tim Holtz.
On the right is a little tin containing Tim Holtz film strip tape . . . . I have been looking for this in my room for about a month.... I eventually found it in a ribbon drawer, where else????

As I had found it I thought I should use it on my ATC. The inked background is stamped with a Tim steampunk stamp  (embossed with shiney black powder). Around the edges and on the ticket I have used Inka Gold. I had this for Christmas and not had time to use it yet, it has a really wonderful sheen.
The keen eyed amongst you will see a ghostly image on the film strip. . . . guess who?

This second ATC (well you cant make only 1 can you !) has the same inked background but I have used a Haby theme., I  used the inka gold as well and actually did some sewing on it too.
I like sewing on papercraft projects but never think about it until I have finished. Doh!

I did finish a little display piece at the weekend (I posted plan box this a few months ago before I finished the stamping).
This little box comes with wooden flowers in and was too good to throw away so I painted it and then stamped 9 little bird 'inchies'.

Well I have shown you mine so now I'm going to peek at yours. Looking forward to seeing all those inspirational rooms / deask/ floors / tables / closets etc, etc

  6. Ah, the afternoon nap...I remember how much could be achieved in that short space of time. And now it's me who sometimes has a quick zzz after lunch. But only for 5 mins and not very often. Don't tell anyone, lol!
The picture box with the bird inchies is really pretty, I like it very much indeed :)

  9. I have invented 'Sniggle Time' for when looking after the Gkids....when I feel tired I lie on my side on the sofa with kids tucked into the back ...wedged between me and the sofa ..I put a good video on ... grunt answers for the endless questions ...hold a hand when needed ...and doze. One movement in the direction of an escape and I'm awake. They love it..not suitable for the under threes. lol
I have thought about your remark about keeping it simple ...and I think you are right ...after all it going to be practical set of drawers.
Great ATC's... Yes I did pick up on the photo and I think the stich one is such fun ..xx

  22. Oh look, there you are on the ATC! Did you use tape transfer to do that? Like the soft sheen of that Inka gold, and the embossing on the second ATC is just perfect huh! Well, I was worried that you wouldn't have a chance to craft on Tuesdays, so I'm glad your beautiful, co-operative Grandaughter is a happy napper!!

    I am a little mad sometimes .

  28. Thanks for stopping by..I really love the card with the stitching on it. I have intended to do a few of these but just not enough time. Getting ready for #141 already. I've been doing some ATC swaps and it has been fun, I have a Valentine post on ones I send and ones I received, and I love your little inchy's so cute. I enjoy working on different sizes. No doubt will be back after the #141 gets posted. Enjoy..take time to enjoy your favorite things.

  29. I am really enjoying the theme/design of your blog. Do you ever run into any internet
browser compatibility issues? A number of my blog visitors
have complained about my site not operating correctly in Explorer but looks great in Opera.

Do you have any ideas to help fix this problem?
