WOYWW 288 still no cards, but......

Hi Deskers
Here to see my desk? ..... then read on.....

What do we have here then; on the left is a new journal I brought for the bargain price of £2.99.... yes really .... in the works. Not sure if it will be right for next years DLP .... I will practise with it first. Plus I have to finish this years as well.
Under the journal is a bag of goodies from a play date last week.... happy mail type goodies.
At the back .... 2 journal pages.
Easter chicks and Minion card...... still  there.
That's about it
I know I should be 'doing' Christmas stuff but I am really enjoying the journal at the moment.... so that's that! I met up with some amazing ladies last week .... fellow DLP members.
One of the ladies taught us how to paint faces..... I did this

Really pleased with it and plan to paint more ASAP.

This page is a brick fabric background with machine embroidery, paint and sequins. the prompt was to use fabric

The latest page..... about gratitude, including some happy mail tags which I finished when I got home.
Soooo! still nothing Christmassy.... maybe next week.... cannot say that for much longer can I.... might be saying next 'year' though LOL.

Usual rules apply please visit hopper in charge Julia at the  stamping-ground for all the details.
Thank you for all the lovely comments they do mean a lot and I always try and visit back.
Please leave your Mr linky number so I can find you on the go....

  1. love the brick fabric especially! well done on the face - that's really good. I may try and learn to draw next year... didn't manage it at school though, so doubt in my 50's will be any easier!! Helen 8

  2. Well my friend, I think if your Muse is not Christmas orientated, just go with it anyway, I expect it's taking a break from the onslaught at work! Love the pages, and the face...the DLP stuff has really broadened your skill base hasn't it.

  3. I'm supervising the munchkins playing happily with their Lego so grabbing a few minutes to do a dash round some of my favourite blogs.
If you're not in the mood for making Christmas cards then buy some lol life should be about doing what makes you happy 😃

  4. Lovely stuff there, and glad you've not been drawn into a Christmas panic fever. Go with the flow, and have a great week. Chris # 13

  5. Hi Janet, oh you are enjoying yourself....really neat work your displaying. No Christmassy stuff though, I hear everyone else is a panic. Cheers and enjoy your week RobynO#27

  6. I love your projects! I don't blame you for not doing anything festive! You have to follow your creative spirit - you can't just order yourself to do something you don't feel like doing - because then it's work and not play! That's why I buy my Christmas cards instead of making them! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa @ InkyDinkyDoodle #40

  7. Hi Janet, smashing pages, and a brilliant first painting! Love The Works- never leave without something, lol. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #11 xxx

  8. Sounds like you are having fun. No Christmas crafting here either. We are having a postal strike over here, so no point really trying tp post anything. The last mail I received was in July!!!
    Happy WOYWW!

  9. It is awful we have to feel guilty for not doing our Christmas things when we just want to journal - love your pages. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #56

  10. Gosh, you are having fun with your artwork...I love it, makes a change from Christmas stuff in work, eh?! The DLP has made you explore other artistic avenues.

  13. Hi Janet, no, no sign of the dreaded WV here! lol. I have a conversation ongoing with some geek on Bloggers help forum- I suggested they may want to try beta testing next time before they roll out something. I can see me getting banned any comment now, lol. Shaz xxx
