Hi wednesday peepers
Oh my, wednesday again sooooo soon! Queen of the blog hops Julia says keep it short so here it is. Dont know what I am on about, check it out here stamping-ground.
Not much going on here I'm afraid..... no mojo, still recovering from my cold a few weeks ago.
Most of the 'stuff' has just been dumped here today.
The big box of pencils is there because I wanted some wax crayons for GD Erin to draw with today, she prefered the red one . . .Mmmm, very tasty . . .. so we stopped that game he he!
The green ribbon I had just cut out of the jumper I am wearing today, I always do this . . . very useful for cards, dont you know!
Finally the pretty wrapping paper roll is from work . . . .to make some display cards with.
This is my desk later in the afternoon while Erin was asleep, I did managed to make some cards, I don't really use peel offs but these black trees are quite interesting, they are layered over some holographic paper.
Well thats about it.
You may have heard this before . . . but please leave your name and no. and I will get back to you after work.
Have a great week and happy crafting

Lovely cards! Thanks for the peek! Nan 19
ReplyDeleteI like the black trees - they're really effective! And you're not alone, I keep bits of ribbon from everything!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, LLJ ~58 xx
I cut the ribbon off from the inside of the clothes to reuse in my crafts.
ReplyDeleteYour mojo must just be starting to return because you've made a few lovely cards. Jill #61
I always take the ribbon from the inside of clothes too!! Hope your mojo comes back soon, it's been a while since that cold of yours! Helen 4
ReplyDeleteNice busy desk there - I reuse clothes ribbons too (well I take them off and put them in my ribbon box at least!), like those Christmas trees they look very effective dont they. Thanks for sharing - Sunshine Girl No. 54
ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteHow is our beading teacher - looks like you are still recovering from that cold - GD liking the red crayon - ha, ha I would think it was VERY tasty! Who wouldn't pick red????
Lots of hugs,
Cardarian no.75
I like your cards - clever to use that very pretty paper, and so much cheaper than 'craft' paper.
ReplyDeleteThought I was the only one who cut the ribbon 'hangers' from jumpers, only trouble is I keep finding my jumpers on the floor of the wardrobe.

ReplyDeleteHi Janet sorry I didn't get back to visit you last week - I don't know where my time disappeared to - something to do with Halloween I expect. I love those papers you have been using on your cards - they have a fresh Scandinavian feel. Make the most of crafting in the nap times they don't last long :-) Happy WOYWW to you from Helen 56
ReplyDeleteWhat great Christmas card makes! I too am also looking for items that can be used in my crafting, my have to start snipping ribbon from my tops / jumpers :)
ReplyDeletePlease hop by my desk #87 Lauren x
Hi Janet - sorry to hear you are still not completely recovered from that darned cold. LOL at Erin and the red crayon. Your card making is looking good. Happy Wednesday. :o)

I just have a vision of you sat with a holey jumper where you´ve cut out bits for crafting, may have to buy some jumpers with ribbons in the future.
ReplyDeleteJan S 94
I'm glad you managed to sneek some crafty time while you GD took her nap. I love those cards.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one who keeps those jumper ribbons. I even have my friends saving them for me too!!
Happy WOYWW

ReplyDeleteHello there, thanks for visiting the bears earlier, we started on the Christmas cards a while back, and are still trying to finish them!

Great looking cards! I save all my ribbon also...never can tell when it will come in handy for something! Thanks for visiting my desk this week and thanks for sharing. Vickie #77
ReplyDeleteLove the card you are working on - I too save all my ribbon from clothing and my friends do for me as well - sorry I didnt come an visit last week - was 'ONE' of those weeks when I just seemed to run out of time - have a great Wednesday Nicky - 129
ReplyDeleteIt is looking good on your desk. I bought the neatest matte silver embossed wrapping paper once and hid it. I ended up getting a gift wrapped in it since hubby doesn't understand what wrapping paper hidden in a corner is all about. The cards you made with your wrapping paper are really nice. I'm gunshy on wrapping paper now though, besides I have enough of the real stuff.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and here's hoping MOJO comes around. I hate it when it leaves...nice to take advantage of some quiet time. Cards are great. Have a fun week.
ReplyDeleteHi Janet,
ReplyDeleteOh that darn Mojo -- he sure works on his own schedule! I hope you are fully recovered from your cold. It's a bummer that it's been lingering on.
I just wonder, were you wearing the jumper while you ripped out the ribbon?!? Tee hee
Thanks for visiting me already! Hugs, Kay #5
Being sick is one of the quickest ways to lose your mojo, no doubt about it--glad to hear you're feeling better, though!

I think most of us keep our ribbons out of cardigans and jumpers! I even have most of the girls in work giving me theirs!
ReplyDeleteNice cards...I am not a fan of peeloffs either but these are good!
BTW I have finished my keyring!! yeay! Coming soon to a blog near you! LOL!
