WOYWW178 No tricks . . .just treats

hi wednesday peepers

Oh where does my time go?
It can't really be a week since last wednesday can it ? Maybe it is a trick
I am still working on the dining room table with my new 'toy' . . .   a real treat. . .  for me anyway. See  last week 's post
Thanks for all the birthday wishes and lovely comments.

(This has turned out to be quite a long post so feel free to skip the waffle and just look at the pictures.
If you want to see more treats, visit Julia head of the WOYWW covern  stamping-ground) .

Anyway here is my desk on Tuesday afternoon. What is on it I hear you ask ?

At the back are lots of  pots of beads....  still needing to be put away, they are taking over my life, must use some up.

Big bag of crafty stuff from work to make display items... dont know when I will get to that, but it needs to be done soooon!

Oh what's that at the front. Can you guess what it is  LLJ ?  Made with my new toy.

Voila..... a LLJ desk bin.
I brought this fab material in Arizona (I wish I had brought more, obviously).
I was saving it for 'just the right' project . . .  I think this is it.
A big thanks to Jo for the tutorial here.   jozartdesigns.
I didn't have any boning so I used the plastic tubing I forgot to take to the WOYWW crop the other week,  well can't waste it can I.

Talking of the crop (sorry if you are bored of that now).
Here are the projects Julia gave us on the day, finally finished them.

Christmas card kit, the background is very shimmery but it doesn't really show in the photo.

and finally the what if challenge.
Home is where your stash is
Well, I will catch you later after work, if you are kind enough to leave a comment please leave your Mr linky no. so I can find you and visit you right back.

Watch out for crafty ghosts this week.
happy halloween

  13. I'm sat reading my WOYWW blogs on my sick bed this week but have my mask on so you don't catch anything. I'm enjoying reading what everyone is up to this week [it's better than reading magazines :-) ]. I'm leaving a copied comment so you know I've called by because my hands are too weak and shaky to keep typing out my comments this week.
    Big hugs,
    A x #93

  16. Oh I love your bin, such great fabric too, made me chuckle! Not taking part this WOYWW, too much going on, or I should say there shouldn't be anything happening as I need to rest and not spend ages on puter or at craft desk, but wanted to pop by some of your desks anyway! Take care Zo xx

  25. That fabric is seriously amazing, and what a great piece you've made with it! Your homework cards turned out so cute, too.

Thank you for your visit this woyww!
#32ish this week, you know how it can change!

  26. Home is where your stash is! YOU KNOW IT! I never understood the concept of vacations. All the good stuff and all the comforts of home are at.... HOME! So take a vacation and lock yourself in, I say! Love the challenge card and the shimmery card but best of all is your LLJ inspired desk bin. That fabric is just wonderfully awesome!!

  27. Love that fabric you used for your bag. When I made my bag some 18+ years ago we used plastic tubing which is the perfect size to go in the beading project!
Your card is pretty too. I must do the C card this weekend!
Would you like me to help you put those beads away for you?
No way am I showing you what my desk looked like when I finished my Halloween project. Though it was messy several times as I did it in several sessions! Though there was alot of black paint around!

  28. Hi there Janet, ah one of those bags would be very handy.. use a non covered extra large Yoghurt container for mine .. one day :D and great material as you say.. and we never seem to get enough of fav. things - love your two card too...
Thanks so much for popping over and thanks for sharing ~ happy WOYWW! Shaz in Oz. x #37

  29. I love the fabric on the inside of your project -- the peaches. The whole thing came out great. Happy WOYWW woefully late from Laura #148

  30. I forgot to say thank you for the tubing - it did arrive! Yes, beaded baubles - I have a complete thing for them and try to do one a year, plus a couple for friends. I've got three at home waiting to be made, and a whole box of really cheap baubles waiting for me to "do my thang" with them and turn them into luscious lovelies for sale. I might get round to it this year, as I'll be off for a couple of months!

Love the hang around, as Jo puts it, and how appropriate to use peaches inside! LOL.... Great use of the kit challenge from the crop!

  31. How have I missed all these posts before? Love that fabric - what fun it is and how great for the hangy thingy. Have now become a follower so I will visit again.

    Hugs, Neet xx
