WOYWW 215 gush alert / mess alert too

Hi Peeps
Gosh it has been a busy crafty week for me: workshops, tidying, card making and sewing.
I haven't see the rest of the worlds desks yet this week, they could be just as busy/messy/tidy as mine but I bet they are all inspirational.
Check them out at the stamping ground,   Julia  says keep it short.... I will try, so here goes.
this is my desk today ....lots of projects mixed together

Stamps and dry foam from a quick card, a prototype watch strap and  leather scraps. brads and lots of glues. On the left under the foam is the  lace book I started last week at ART VAN GO with my friend Lee.
Here is the view from our bedroom window at Art Van Go

Oh! ok, you got me, its a picture on the wall .... a girl can dream cant she!
Lee and I had such a blast I haven't laughed so much for ages.
There were 12 of us on the course here  are our books at the end of the 2 days ... not finished but fabulous anyway.

My book from the front

I learnt lots of new techniques from JuliaTriston our tutor including this one made with hessian

This is her piece not mine I am still practising.
Just before I left I finally finished my latest quilt for Jo at lillybo quilts. I know it has arrived so I can show it now. I started with the outside as it was some bunting from last year.... it was quite a challenge to get the middle to fit !

Finally this week I had to do some tidying up! My handyman brought me a pressie from his office which is in the process of relocating and getting rid of furniture.
I had to make room for this little baby.

  11. Wow, now there is a blog post to be jealous of. Love your desk, loved your book class, the super picture, and as for the draw space at the end, 'thud'.

Anything ice cold sounds good to me, as I sit here with a hot cup of tea? (why on earth did I do that?)

  20. Hi Janet, it's me again…. Thank you for your lovely comment. To answer your question, yes I did write the poem. Art has not been an easy road for me, It doesn't come natural to me. I've always done crafting of some sort, but Art and Art Journaling is a new experience, so the poem reflects my struggle with trying to express myself through Art. Facing one's self is never easy. I digress though…. Until next week… (((HUGS)))

  22. Wow, your lace book is beautiful - in fact all of them are - I love the different techniques - did you machine stitch those circles down the edge of your page? And if so how did you get each one so circular with no wobbles?! I love the quilt too - such gorgeous, bright colours. Thanks so much for dropping by, hope you have a great week.

  25. Oh my gosh! What a great little cabinet. Of course you had to find room for it!!! I thought about joining WOYWW but didn't realize that yesterday was Wednesday. I'll try to get it on my radar for next Wednesday. Everyone should get a laugh at how little it has changed in the many months I've been away. I love the big pile of EVERYTHING on your desk. That is a sign that lots of creating has been going on.

  27. Janet, I have NO idea why blogger treated you so unfairly. I have had no other complaints or comments relating to adult content or requesting money. Do you have a computer virus?

I love your drawers. They are incredible. Your handyman sure must like you (grin). And that book is incredible. I really like it.

BTW, I was so impressed with your quilt. Way to go. I'm not sure how late LATE is, but I'm here to wish you a beLATEd WOYWW from #2.
