Time again to nosy at the work desks of the world. I am away from my desk today on a workshop at art van go.
But here is my desk on Tuesday eve before I left.
Not much going on..... Just stuff!
The mat covered with strawberries on is the glass mat I use as a heat mat when I am using shrink plastic. I made a necklace with it on Saturday. If you look carefully you can kust see the left overs i shrank just to see what if?
At the back are a load of sparkly brads I brought in the sale at work, don't you just love crafty sales!
There's some inka gold ( I love that stuff)
No scissors today as they are going with me.
That's all from me so pop over to see julia and the long list of desks to visit ... If you dare.

Finally here is the necklace set I made with the shrink plastic.
Usual rules apply if you are kind enough to leave a comment I will get back to you.... But later in the week this week .... I won't forget
Janet
As soon as I saw that necklace, I thought of an Amazonian Warrior Queen! So that's the image of you I've got today...just thought you'd like to know ;-)

That is one fabulous necklace. Gotta love it. My friend has one of those glass plates, too. She's not a crafter, and uses hers in her kitchen. Such a waste (grin). Happy WOYWW from #2.
ReplyDeleteI am sure you'll be having a wonderful time. Love the necklace. Helen, 17
ReplyDeletelove your creations - never tried the shrink plastic...
ReplyDeletehappy WOYWW and have a fun week :)

My glass mats are also in the kitchen, and I cheat with the shrink plastic - I do it in a foil tray in the oven, which seems to work better than risking the heat gun - have you ever watched Barbara Gray and Dean Wilson on YouTube doing shrink plastic? Always good for a giggle. Love your necklace and I would never have thought of doing a necklace like that with the shrink plastic. Thanks for your visit this morning and I do need to get some real crafting done. Have a good week. xx Maggie #10
ReplyDeleteI love that necklace you made - I've never tried shrink plastic but it looks great - something else to go on my 'to try' list! Hope you have a great day with Art Van Go - Jane and I spent too much money at their stall on Friday in Eastleigh - they have some great supplies!
ReplyDeleteLoving your necklace and strawberry mat. Not done Shrink myself, I fear I'd burn myself and end up with a wrinkled curled mess of shrink. You seen to have the knack of it! Take care Zo xx 65
ReplyDeleteSuper necklace and love your strawberry mat... now you'll be needing one of my strawberry wipe clean table covers. I've still got them stowed away! Must remember and you can have one when we get together. Nice neat desk and mine is catching up slowly.
ReplyDeleteBTW...I was up at 4am for a visit to the loo and the laptop was upstairs so I linked up.
Will email you privately.
