WOYWW 213 multi tasking

Hi Peeps
Well it seems the blogging world didn't come crashing down on Monday after the switching off of Google reader, or maybe it did and I blinked and missed it.

Anyway, if there is anyone out there here is my desk for this week.
Welcome to Kimberley Hogan my newest follower...  lovely to meet you.

I will try and keep it sort 'coz Julia says so; here goes
Pop over to stamping-ground. to join in the fun

Lots of threads and scissors  I am starting to get stuff ready for a 2 day workshop at Art Van Go next week. I am going on the train so I need to travel light.
At the back is the time stamp set I brought in Paperchase 's sale reduced from £8 to £2.40 bargain!
On the left is a selection of notebooks I am thinking of taking for the workshop, haven't decided yet

On my other desk .... more stuff for the workshop I don't think I have made anything on my desk this week. I did some sewing ... finishing a lilybo quilt while watching the tennis on Saturday

Sewing machine on the coffee table ... how's that for multi tasking?
A few weeks ago I posted that I was making myself a blouse and had to change the length so it didn't show my belly button... not a good look at my age!
My calculations didn't go to plan and it was still too short... but on the up side I have sorted the belly button problem.

###### Added Note: sorry if that put you off your breakfast/lunch/dinner /coffee and sticky bun.

Finally can anyone help Identify this picture?
I brought it  a while ago in a charity shop because I loved it.

I have tried to find something about it ...but no luck. I think it is 1930's ish.
the caption says "I just hate to get my feet wet". It is not signed
I hope that was short enough and you made it too the end.
If you leave a comment I will pop by and visit you later
bye for now

  1. I love your belly button!!! Great desks too, we're good at multi tasking and I hope it wasn't break, set and match trying to sew and watch Wimbledon too.
Not a clue about the wonderful Pelican but his beak can hold more than his belly can, unlike your belly which can hold more than your beak can! Sorry!

  4. Lol!! You could become a belly dancer with a decoration that size! Thanks for the giiggle...at least your belly is still fit to be displayed like that :-)
Well done for multi tasking like that...I've never yet sewed anything while watching TV....I don't think my tiny brain could cope!

  6. LOL! Now THAT is a belly button :)

I'd maybe be on the lookout for the Antiques Roadshow coming to your town :) And it is also possible that it is signed on the back, or the mat is covering it. But then you would have to dis-assemble it to find out. If is cute. I love the little bird, he'd make a cute stamp!

    Happy WOYWW!

  7. O you make me giggle. I always have the problem with stuff being too long, but then that's not surprising considering how short I am!!! Hope you enjoy your workshop. Take care Zo xx 69

  18. Love your sewing machine :-D

As regards your picture... this looks like a copy of a picture by Ikki Matsumoto b.1935 , called "Love Pelican". If you go to this link you can see his work AND this picture.

I am not sure who did your one although I did see it on a website and the author of the Post credited it to S4w but I could find nothing about that person(?)

    Hope that helps.
    Happy WOYWW

  19. Hi Janet, I just love your belly button! And that was clever multi-tasking - sewing and tennis. Couldn't do it myself - I get far too excited, especially when Andy is playing, and it even gets to the point where I can't watch for fear of what will come next ... pathetic, I know, but that's me and tennis for you :) Hope you have a great time at the workshop - you will certainly be well prepared. 21. See, Jan was here for coffee this morning and we both siad that if the blouse had come out like that for us, it would have neded up ina bin without a second look, so am fullof admiration that you're persisting with it..it is very pretty..I like the fabric even more in its made up state..and my, how pearlescent and realistic your tummy button is!!

  27. Didn't throw me off my lunch but it did raise my respect for your level of courage! After only one child/birth I can't wear a bikini much less show any part of my mid-drift in public! lol But the shirt/top is gorgeous and I think you have hit on a fab solution for the belly button problem, for sure! :) Though I am more inclined to have to use Shaz's suggestion, no belly "buttons" for me! lol Thanks for stopping by my desk already and leaving me a comment. :) Deeyll #123
