The last week has been one of highs and lows for me
Lows include my laptop being sick and going to hospital so I am writing this on my I phone .... It will be short,
Menopause melt down ( don't ask!),
It rained ( cooled down)
Highs include ... It rained ( very refreshing)
I finally found time to make some cards
Lost 7 lb sorry to mislead not ALL this week
I realised the big M is not going away.... Deal with it :0
Anyway here's the desk
pop over to Julia's to see more http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk/
Made cards, lots of DI pads, lots of stamps, texture pastes and I finally found my special awl.
brought some blending stumps for zen tangling.
Anyway enough waffle here's some cards I made inspired by Shaz silver wolf
I finally finished my lace book so if you would like to see it follow the link though I warn you there are a lot of photos :) http://www.janets-fairythoughts.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/in-july-my-friend-lee-and-i-went-on-two.html?m=1
Usual rules apply ..... you should know them by now
Visiting on an I phone is slow going bear with!
Janet

I love how your cards turned out. The colors and design are awesome. I hope you have a better weekend. (((HUGS)))

ReplyDeleteHi Janet, I hope you are feeling better soon ... the menopause is a pain but it does go away, eventually, if that is any consolation.Hope your laptop recovers soon too. Congratulations on the 7lb weight loss, that's exemplary :) I struggled to lose just 1lb this week :( Your cards are lovely - I like the tile effect. Hugs - I think you need a hug even if it is of the cyber variety :)) Elizabeth x #16
ReplyDeleteWell done on the weight loss....mine is still going at 1lb a week so I'm happy with that. :-)

It's not fun to not feel well. and having your laptop go to the hospital (computer hospital) wasn't fun either, I bet.
ReplyDeleteI'm very impressed at your weight loss. Good for you. Love those cards, too. they are all beautiful.
Happy WOYWW from #2.
Life can be a bit of a roller coaster at times can't it, but good on you for your weight loss achievement. Your cards are just gorgeous I particularly love the second one with the elongated design and pretty butterflies. Happy WOYWW and have a great week! Danie #25
ReplyDeleteYou will feel better believe me. Love everything on your desk especially all things distressed and your cards are super. happy woyww
ReplyDeleteHi Janet, DEEP sympathy about the big M - I had a flurry of symptoms a few months ago - but nothing since, if that's what I'm in for I just want a magic STOP button to be installed! Your cards are beautiful, I think the middle one is my favourite, love that water colour effect. Hope you have a better week. MMx #42
ReplyDeleteGosh life sounds like a bit of a roller coaster for you ate the moment. I love the watercolour effects on your cards. x
ReplyDeleteYour cards look great. I can sympathise about the sick computer - mine has just come home after being away a week and its really too difficult to blog on a tablet or ipad.
ReplyDeleteBernice #39
Oh dear you are having a rough week. Can understand. Life a bit challenging here as well.I dread the laptop being poorly. I have had post menopause/post menopause symtoms for 15 years now. Gggggrrrrr. My mum said she had one hot flush one day and then nothing.
ReplyDeleteHope things get better for you. Anne x #24
Congrats on your weight loss - awesome !!! Sorry about the big M... that's a bummer. It does go eventually so hang in there :-D

I feel your pain and am right there with you :)
ReplyDeleteYou managed to make some pretty nifty cards in spite of it all. I find Shaz inspiring too. I saw that post earlier (today? this week? can't recall) but it inspired me too...not to actually DO anything, but it got my mind racing. Well done for your follow thru!
Happy WOYWW!

Aw fab desk with lots of fab goodies on show. Ergh to the M! My mum thinks I'm starting to get symptoms early. I'm doing everything else early so why no that I suppose but I can at least empathise, horrible hot flushes not helped by the humidity. Yay yo the rain too! Take care my friend, stay cool. Zo xx 77
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards and fabulous active desk! You have my sympathy re the hot flushes - I'm not looking forward to those!
ReplyDeleteDawn #94
Stunning work Janet - especially the lace book - I absolutely love it!! x Jo #11
ReplyDeleteHi Janet, love how your mosaic looks like you are looking through a window! Ace. Re the Big M- has anyone ever recommended Agnus Castus? Its a herbal tea you can get from health food shops, and is supposed to be excellent, especially helping with hot flushes.Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz xx #22
ReplyDeleteOh the joys of being a woman! But your work is absolutely lovely. #114 Ann
ReplyDeleteHope the parcel, (finally got it posted) cheers you up. The horrorpause is a bummer but all things change and you WILL get through it. At least it's not stopping your creativity as you've made some lovely cards there.
ReplyDeleteThe parcel went all the way to Brighton, all around and back up North but never got to a PO until today when I got home! Hope it's worth your wait!
