WOYWW 229 noddy and other animals

Hi Peeps
happy Wednesday, time for another round of  what's on your workdesk Wednesday, see here for the details. what it's all about
here's my desk

Actually its my dining room table, where I have been sewing squares for Annie's children in need project. http://wipso-astitchintime.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/woyww_15.html
At the back is a collection of other stuff which just appeared there.

A bag of red buttons, well why not? headphones (why?), a pin cushion, a roll up shopping bag (why?), nail varnish ( I painted GD Erin's nails earlier in the day), a suffolk puff patch (why?), a scruffy notebook, a purple Toblerone  (really my glasses case), a new daylight bulb, and a finished jumper for Erin, she refused to try it on and wouldn't take it home until I sewd the buttons on.
I don't know who put all this stuff here but I'm sure it wasn't me !!!!!
Any questions ... just ask.
Last week I lost Mr linky from Julia's post on my laptop so I found it difficult to find people.  If I didn't return your visit I beg your forgiveness, I will try harder this week.
see you on your desk soon

  5. I have to admit, I never "got" Noddy, and neither of my kids ever said anything positive about him - sure way to get them to switch off or at least switch over, was for Noddy to come on. But then, do other countries "get" The Banana Splits? Perhaps not....

    Happy WOYWW!

  9. Hi Janet,
Thanks for the squares. They are to be put together to raise funds for Children in Need and yes there is supposed to be £2 for each 12 1/2" x 12 1/2" square made. They are being put together quilted and backed etc and then raffled off to raise further funds....you will get a raffle ticket for making the quilt squares so will be in with a chance to win one. 10. Happy birthday a few days late. I read about it in the comment you left to Annie. Your squares are AWESOME. Wish I was a real seamstress like you. You do fantastic work.

And even though I'm the only one allowed in my craft spaces, I end up with some weird stuff on my table at times (grin). Happy WOYWW from #6.

  11. We were really excited by the idea of purple Toblerone! Our favourite snack. Your desk certainly looks very busy.

  12. What great fabric you are using! Those faces are so adorable and full of happiness. They will love to recieve your quilts! The use of the Toblerone container made me smile as that was a favorite treat of my late hubby and each Christmas I would put a very LARGE one in his stocking. Thanks for reminding me, it made me smile to recall that! Enjoy the day! Winnie#73

  13. That sounds all very comprehensive, I love how you've itemised everything. It's amazing how things just appear on desks by themselves isn't it? It happens to me all the time.

  14. Great fabric for your squares and I am always finding stuff on my desk & wondering how it got there! But I lose as much too - those pesky Borrowers!!
Know we still have a coffee to arrange - life chaotic as always, but soon :-)

  16. Sounds like a great project and your desk looks good :-) I don't know either how certain things happen to appear on my workdesk. Daughter 2 insists we have a poltergeist named Hugo ... We blame nearly everything on him :-D

  21. I'm positive that there is a Detritus Fairy (in purple tutu and Doc Martens....) who does the same with my dining table. I seem to spend my life clearing it and as soon as my back is turned, stap me, it's full of junk again!!!
    Love your fabric squares :-)

  24. Brilliant fabrics for a children's quilt, so bright and cheerful. I firmly believe that there is a crafting elf who re-arranges things in my craft room! Hugs. Pam#38

  25. Ah the curious end of the table dropping off fairy has been at your house. just as well...there's no room left on my pigging coffee table!! love that Erin is discerning enough to wait for the buttons...and I'll wager that you have one or two to choose from...or do you need to rake through mine!! got a it excited at the idea of the purple toblerone too...quite distracted me from your beautiful squares, what a kind soul your are Janet fairy.
