WOYWW 226

Hi Peeps
I almost forgot it was Wednesday, holidays do that to you don't they, make you loose track of the days.
Anyway here I am at 11.45pm Tuesday evening writing a quick post on my phone 'coz the laptop is playing silly beggers again.
See all the details here.
Even though I have been off work there hasn't been much happening ( I have made a lillybo quilt for Jo).
Top left is a large mug overflowing with used baby wipes .... Not used on a baby! They are very useful as I'm sure you all know. I intended to start an art journal with the book I won from Jo ( May still happen). Not sure how the Pimms label got there or why!
The green mould at the front is from Lakeland and is an icing mould to make buttons ..... Obviously I'm not going to use it for icing ... That would be silly, well it would be for me.
I had hoped to show some of my wedding album LO but they are on my laptop . . . Obviously, oh well another day, another post.
I will share a couple of pics with you ...... I love beach huts and these babies are on Bournemouth beach
All 75 were a different colour , it was like a Dulux ad.

I will try and visit everyone who visits me and some random blogs .... ta ta
Janet

  1. I love that Pimms label, I would be hoarding it too! Gorgeous colours of those beach huts, it does look like an advert, not real life!

  2. Love those beach huts!! But yes, they must be def sponsored by Dulux, the colour changes are almost too perfect! Coordinated by someone with a good sense of colour though.
I'm so glad you're feeling better...hooray, it's taken a while, hasn't it? I'm still a bit iffy, truth be told....ah well, better do more crafting to forget about it!!

  5. Ooh, I love beach huts too! Those are amazing, unreal! I love your desk today! At first I thought maybe it was so bad it had gone green and mouldy - 'green mould'? Then I realized, it's the kind of mould you make things with! Only I could be disgusting enough to acquire green mould on my desk! Thanks for being so kind about my mess!!! I must try to improve, maybe after I've turned my work mat into a piece of art! Julie Ann xx #56

  10. What a great idea to use the icing mold for clay or maybe even epoxy. We're such a creative bunch, always thinking of other purposes to use things for. I love the photos of the beach huts. How neat that they were all different colors.

  13. Oh Wow - love those beach huts. Somehow they always seem evocative don't they. This definitely looks like an advert for a paint company - brilliant.

  15. Those beach huts are amazing it looks like a color swatch with them all lined up like that, we have some here in Melbourne but they are all different colors and quite random. Thanks for sharing your desk, like the Pimms Label too.

    Happy WOYWW

  16. Hehe, I quite understand about the icing moulds! I would do exactly the same thing! Thanks for stopping by. I don't use lino to carve those stamps (although I did carve lino at school, back in the dark ages), but a really user-friendly white plasticky, rubbery stuff called Ezy Carve which is a dream to work with, like carving butter!
    Have a good week,

  19. Hi Janet
Those beach huts are gorgeous, wouldn't you just love to own one??
Are you going to use the baby wipes again or are they ready for the bin! I reckon crafters keep baby wipe makers in business!
Thanks for visiting already. Nothing exciting in the marmalade jar I'm afraid, it's my water jar!!!
    A belated Happy WOYWW

  21. What great photos! I love the ombre row of huts. It appeals to me in a way the multicoloured haphazard ones don't. Lovely.
I am determined to get some visits in before tomorrow!

    Happy (late AGAIN!) WOYWW!
